The following battles of Anglo-French Wars in India 1751 to 1762 are described and illustrated under this title:
- Siege of Arcot: Robert Clive ‘Clive of India’ in November 1751 wins the battle said to have begun British rule in India.
- Battle of Arni: The pitched battle fought on 3rd December 1751 showing that the English ‘could fight’ (quote from Morari Rao, Mahratta leader) even against greater numbers.
- Battle of Kaveripauk: Clive’s victory on 23rd February 1752 that set the British on the path to domination of the Indian sub-continent.
- Battle of Plassey: The Keystone Battle for the British in India won on 23rd February 1757 with Treachery and Tarpaulins.
